PREVIEW TRIPS
For those individuals who are considering employment in China but have not yet decided; a preview trip to tour and track information of the new city and country is extremely necessary and important. This vital trip will assist the transferee to be confident and quickly help with the decision process. Our Preview Trip Program is design exclusively for our client's needs.
Preparation before Arrival
Our CRS (China Relo Sh) Service Consultants will contact the client by telephone or email within 24 hours after authorization is received.
The Relocation Questionnaire will be sent to the transferees by email or fax. Once we have received the completed questionnaire, our Service Consultants will thoroughly review all information and provide a complete, customized orientation itinerary and package. Our aim is to help make sure our client’s visit to China is informative, worthwhile, and as enjoyable as possible. Every aspect of the itinerary will be tailor-made with the specific client’s preferences in mind.
Services include:
- Providing information including photos of potential properties
- Providing information about the different residential neighborhoods
- Providing information regarding all international schools
- Preparing a preview trip and home search itinerary
- Make short-term accommodation arrangements
- Booking a suitable size automobile (and driver) for airport pick up
- Provide recommendations on property, schools, and medical facilities
Good communication with HR/Global Relocation Company
China Relo. Shanghai’s staff will stay in constant contact with your local HR/Global Relocation Company to ensure they have a god understanding of Shanghai relocation procedures, housing costs, and the market availability of properties. We strive for ongoing coordination with the HR /Global Relocation Company and any feedback and questions from the transferees or HR manager will be attended to immediately.
Our Information Package
Upon arrival, all of our clients will receive an Essential Information Package which will include all important information for daily life in Shanghai. Among other items, it will include destination guides, popular expatriate magazines, shopping guides, food delivery books, maps, important telephone numbers and essential information related to international schools, medical facilities, mandarin studies, sports programs etc.
Short-term Accommodation
According to our client needs, CRS can help book a suitable hotel or other short-term accommodation before your arrival.
Welcome/Departure
On arrival, our Relocation Service Consultants will meet the client at the airport, assist with their luggage and direct transportation to their hotel. Upon departure, our service consultation will pick up the clients from their hotel, drive them to the airport, assist with the handling of their luggage, and ensure that they board the airplane.
Flexibility towards the clients preferences
Our service consultants will discuss the orientation itinerary with the client when they meet at the airport. If the client has any changes we will adhere to their request and make all necessary changes to suit our client’s desire. We are flexible with any additional or possible changes and every effort will be made to meet our client’s timing and schedule and to make our clients comfortable and feel right at home.
City Tour
Based to the needs of our clients (as determined by the relocation questionnaire) we will arrange for a tailor-made tour of the city. During the tour our clients will have the opportunity to see the following:
- International Medical Clinics and Expatriate Hospitals
- Popular expatriate neighborhoods and areas
- Local cultural activities
- Major tourist spots
- Sports and leisure facilities
- International churches
- Expatriate clubs and associations
- Grocery and other shopping solutions
- consulates and embassies
- International schools
Depending on our client needs, each aspect of the tour can be as extensive as necessary. If required at this time we can also assist with registering the children in schools, applying for memberships for clubs and associations, help issue bank accounts and accompany clients when shopping, and assist with their registration at the embassy.
Home Finding
Within the budget authorized by the HR/Global Relocation Company, we will help our clients to search the most suitable properties. Before visiting properties we can make sure the property is in clear ownership and good quality. When our clients arrive in China we will take them to view each of the properties and associated facilitiesand help them to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each property’s specific location and surroundings. Once a client makes a decision on the property of their choice, we will assist with the negotiations and arrange for the lease review and signing.

SHANGHAI ORIENTATION
Our Orientation program is for the expatriates and their families that have just arrived in China and will start living and working for the coming years. Our services include helping our clients live and work with ease and happiness in their new environment. We pride ourselves on our ability to make our clientele’s relocation trip is as smooth as possible. All service items we provide are as listed under the Preview Trip program, but the orientation can be conducted in more conducted detail. Should the client require it, we are pleased to offer any follow up services if requested.

SETTLING-IN SERVICE
After our client's arrival in China, China Relo. Shanghai will provide on-going assistance in the following areas:
1 . Property Inventory Check-in
Our Relocation Service Consultants will complete the inventory check-in for our clients on their moving day. All items will be checked as listed in the furniture list of the lease agreement and we will make sure everything is in working condition. Should any issues arise our agent will take pictures and inform the landlord so he or she can confirm the damage and address the issue immediately. We will assist with utility calculations and figure out the amount of money our clients need to pay for the first month.
2 . Tenancy Management and our 24 hour Emergency Number
After our client has completely moved into their Shanghai home, we will be on-call for any problems or unforeseen circumstances that arise at their new home. We will coordinate with the landlord or the management office to help our clients in all the maintenance and repair jobs needed at the house. We will also help our clients in making their utility payments. Should an emergency arise we provide our with a 24 hour emergency telephone number when they are in dire need of help.
1 . Furniture Shopping
If our client chooses an unfurnished apartment, we will accompany our client to do all household shopping and provide helpful information on furniture, appliances, home decoration, kitchen appliances, bedding etc... We will help with the negotiation process and will also arrange for appropriate timing of deliveries and installations.
2 . Banking
We will advise our clients about banking requirements and accompany them to set up bank accounts should they require it. Help with other financial transactions can be provided.
3 . Renting Vehicles and Obtaining a Driver’s License
We will assist our clients to search for suitable automobiles, negotiate auto leases, explain local driving regulations, provide information for our clients to get a driver’s license and assist with hiring a personal chauffeur (driver).
4 . Maid Services
We will help our clients interview and select a reliable cleaning/maid service to assist with specific cleaning, cooking and child care needs.

IMMIGRATION AND VISA SERVICES
Visa Assistance
When traveling to China it is essential that clients get the correct visa upon entering China. We will help our clients in obtaining the correct visa specific to their requirements. We will also send invitation letters or work certificate for our clients to get a working visa in China.
Temporary Residence Certificate
Within 24 hours after our clients arrive in China, we will take them to the local police station to obtain a temporary residence certificate (Yellow Page).
Medical Check-ups
A medical check-up report is one of the necessary documents to apply for all local permits. Our clients can choose to complete the medical check-up report in their home country (we will provide specific information and instructions before you arrive in China). If the medical check-up is to be done in China we can give detailed instructions and information upon arrival and will offer assistance coordinating the check-up.
Local Permits
We will assist our clients in getting Work and Residence Permits. If our clients will be importing household goods to China we will help them in obtaining an import permit.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SUPPORT
We will provide special personal IT support to our clients or our client’s company. Our senior IT consultants can visit our client’s home or office and help them with their Internet connection, computer maintenance, network and provide advice on available software and hardware solutions for their needs.
OFFICE SEARCH
We will also help our clients to find a suitable office in Shanghai. According to the budget and requirements giving by HR/Global Relocation Company we will prepare an office search proposal document and send to the transferee. Our office search services include :

DEPARTURE SERVICES
Inventory Check-Out and Deposit Return
We will check all furniture and appliances as listed in the furniture list of the original lease agreement and make sure each items are in good and working condition, write a report of damages and confirm with both the tenant and landlord, calculate the utility bills and make sure there are no outstanding expenses. We can assist with client payment of any costs, if any, that the tenant owes; and get the remaining deposit back from the landlord.
Close Bank Accounts
We will assist our clients close bank accounts and any other financial transactions.
Mail Forwarding
We will arrange to pick up and forward any mail that arrives after the client has left.
Pre-departure Shopping
We will help our client to do the pre-departure shopping and help in choosing the right shipping packages and rates.
